Raymond L Banas, 77, of Aurora, Illinois, passed away on December 15, 2025.

Ray was married to Fran for 53 years, was a father of two, Ken (Michelle) and Kate (Jim), and a grandfather of five - Jake, Noelle, Christopher, Marc, and Vanessa. He was brother to Christine, Arlene, and Diane and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Ray, a life-long White Sox fan, was spending his retirement doing what he enjoyed - watching sports, reading and eating Hershey nuggets.

A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, 701 South Eola Road, Aurora, Illinois. Visitation is 9:30 am-10:30 am, Mass is 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
